Black History Month 2023
Join the GSSW in recognition of Black History Month. What began as Negro History Week in 1926 has evolved into a month-long (and beyond) celebration of the tenacity, culture and resilience of the Black community. This year's theme of "Black Resistance" recognizes the tremendous struggles and victories of Black people continuing to overcome racism and oppression, in any way, shape or form. The GSSW salutes the amazing achievements of Black teachers, artists, businessmen & women, authors, creators, and social workers, in particular, both past and present.
